Allison Teixeira is the owner of Maplewood Bridal, Image & Custom Gallerie, a full service bridal & image gallery specializing in custom designs and complete wedding planning & coordination . . . the affordable necessity! Her innate creative abilities, combined with her superb planning skills have contributed to ensuring that the functions she plans are a resounding success. As a certified wedding and event designer, she has planned and coordinated numerous successful weddings and events for her clients. Being sought after as one of New Jersey's top wedding & event designers, Allison always strives to create unique, fun and interesting events. Her impeccable client relations, upbeat personality and go get attitude enables her to handle the planning and execution of all types of celebrations, with a passion for excellence and creating the perfect ambiance. Maplewood Bridal has been part of the event featured on a national radio station 98.7 KISS FM's annual event "Get Hitched with Kiss", whereby a lucky couple wins an all expense paid wedding.
Allison's talents also extend to image consulting. As a certified image consultant, she is dedicated to working with all body types to recommend the most flattering silhouette, color and designs to flatter every shape, size and skin tone. She is qualified to offer advice in the appropriate way to dress for a job interview and making good first impressions. Being an advanced seamstress as well, and a member of PACC (Professional Association of Custom Clothiers), her wide knowledge of fabrics and dressmaking, plus a keen eye for style and fashion is invaluable to her clients, especially with regards to wardrobe strategies. Allison has contributed as the official Image Consultant for Miss Essex County, the preliminaries to Miss New Jersey, and consults on a regular basis with the contestant to advise on wardrobe, image and etiquette, confidence, poise and speech.
Allison is also a licensed Etiquette Consultant and teaches interactive programs to children and young adults that focus on leadership qualities that develop social and personal skills. These include everyday etiquette and dining skills. Emphasis is placed on the humanistic qualities of being considerate to others, being courteous and understanding that having good manners is a form of leadership. This education is instrumental in preparing students for future social, college, business and career opportunities.
She has also worked with other institutions such as the Young Women's Leadership Group of the Maplewood Middle School to improve their image and build their self-esteem and confidence in themselves; the South Orange-Maplewood Adult School in their summer programs, teaching the "Girls Rule" program; a complete etiquette & dining enrichment program with the Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison. She has also made presentations on Dress for Success to young adults at Inroads Corporation, The Leaguers' cotillion, and other career day events at various schools.
Allison believes that any young person can learn the treasured arts of social poise and genteel communication and that if children learn at an early age the virtues of showing courtesy, they will carry it with them into adulthood.
Allison combines her skills in image, etiquette, design and event planning to offer a unique service to her clients. This results in her ability to accurately identify her clients' needs and design the whole look and feel of the event, garment, or fashion personality .
